Review-Foschini Pink Panther Gloss(Limited Edition)

Hello to all! Look what I found in my stash today? A Pink Panther gloss. Read on to know more about it.

About the Company:With over 200 stores located in prime shopping centres and CBDs in Southern Africa, Foschini is the top-to-toe destination for the fashionable woman.
These stores offer ladieswear, footwear, accessories, fine jewellery, cosmetics and fragrances, as well as kidswear. Foschini is the second largest departmental retailer of cosmetics in South Africa, representing the major international brands including Clarins, Clinique, Revlon, Elizabeth Arden, Yardley and L'Oreal.
Foschini manufactures 70% of all its products locally.
Foschini believes in innovation and creativity and has dynamic in-house design teams, specialising in fashion design, store design and conceptual graphic design.
Foschini opened its first store in 1925 as a value offering for women's international brands.

The special branding:
This gloss was a limited edition item and was particularly released at the time the movie 'pink panther 2' was hitting the theatres. We all have memories from our childhood with our favourite cartoon being the Pink Panther. Even though the movie was nothing like it neither was it related to it but at that time all major brands released some sort of special collections pertaining to the release, and so Foschini also came up with this gloss adding it to be a collectables item.

My experience:
I also grabbed this gloss mainly because of it being tagged with Pink Panther, maybe it was just another marketing strategy of the company. The gloss was neither pink nor panthered! lol. It is a very basic clear gloss but definitely with a good formulation. It has a thick but not sticky consistency and comes in a wobbly tube. I usually use it as a top coat for my lipsticks or other dryer glosses as it gives a very smooth look hiding all my lip lines. The tube comes with a slanted but even opening enabling smooth application:

And this is how the gloss inside looks like:

I got this gloss from a Foschini store for $4 at that time and it always helps me whenever I can't decide what to wear on my lips. I can always even just wear it alone and I'm good to go :)

Hits:
Extra-long staying on power
Leaves moisturised lips

Reasonable price

Misses:
Availability
No choices for colours
The packaging is not concurrent with the name given

My Rating: 3.5/5

Are you a Pink Panther fan??
